All of us are in the business of selling products or services. We also want to generate leads and sales as cost-effectively as possible. Here are ten tips:
- Aim where your prospects are (associations, conferences, magazines, lists, etc.)
- Be there when they’re thinking about the problem (regular contact through direct mail campaigns).
- Focus on generating a response through the call-to-action and easy response methods.
- Use compelling imagery, words and emotions.
- Add some dimensional direct mail pieces.
- Focus on pain-relief by using before and after imagery.
- Lead with “you” and “your”. Follow with “we” and “our”.
- Personalize, personalize, personalize.
- Use testimonials and reward for referrals.
- Offer compelling reasons to respond now, with limited time offers.
