Effective Press Checks
Use these suggestions as a guide for effective press checks:
- Look for errors in codes, addresses and phone numbers
- Make sure photos are correct
- Verify that the paper is what you requested
- Make sure that the PMS colors are correct
- Check the press sheet against the proof to make sure all changes were made
- Examine screens to make sure that they are not filling in and check that crossovers are aligned
- Check registration by looking for colors that may not be properly aligned
- Make sure a spot varnish is registered over the intended image
- Check for color discrepancies
- Make only one color change at a time
